Suzuki Slingshot

One of the largest two wheeler maker in the country - Suzuki India, recently added another variant of Suzuki Slingshot called Suzuki Slingshot Plus. The latest variant is offered at the price of Rs. 52,000 to 56000. The new entrant has got newer headlights, brakes and improved dimensions. There are three new members in the family - Suzuki Slingshot Plus Drum Self, Suzuki Slingshot Plus Drum Kick and Suzuki Slingshot Plus Disc Self.

Like any other Suzuki launch in India, Suzuki Slingshot had created major hype in the Indian market in August 2010. With the latest launch, the number of variants becomes 5.

Appearance of Suzuki Slingshot

The bike is tastefully designed. The sporty appearance is definitely an eye catcher making. An impressive front portion with the cowl having specially designed headlamps is very appealing and also serves the purpose during night rides. The instrument cluster is analogous but very different and has a speedometer with a fuel & turn indicator signals. The ear shaped turn indicators make the bike look even more glamorous. The extra touch is added by the black colored rear view mirrors. The superbly designed fuel tank of Suzuki Slingshot has great graphics. The half bikini design is not unlike Suzuki GS 150. To enhance the look of the rear the latest Suzuki Slingshot is designed with LED tail lamps and integrated turn indicators. The new Suzuki Slingshot has a sporty looking silencer and a great looking heat cover. The spoke alloy wheels make the bike look much more appealing.

The new Suzuki Slingshot is available in shades of metallic fox orange, candy antares red, Pearl nebular black and metallic mustard yellow.

Comfort Feature of Suzuki Slingshot

The Suzuki Slingshot Plus is a supremely dynamic and rider friendly bike. The latest features provide great comfort not only for the rider but passenger as well. Suzuki Slingshot Plus with cool looking handlebars, wide and long seats with restful foot pages provide comfort. The seats have soft cushioning, designed to provide space for riding better and in comfort giving fatigue free rides for the rider and passenger. The 1265 mm wheelbase of the Slingshot Plus is that provides greater control. Suzuki have also endowed the Slingshot Plus with drum and disc brake system (optional) which help to handle the bike better.

The all new Suzuki Slingshot posses telescopic with coil spring and oil damped as the front suspension while the rear one is swing arm type with coil spring and oil damped. This dynamic suspension system of the Suzuki Slingshot makes the rider comfortable and free from jerks, vibrations and bumps. This advanced suspensions system also contributes to handle and control the bike in better way.

It has light weight alloy wheels that provide the Suzuki Sling Shot agility and balance for various road conditions at the same time not compromising on comfort and aesthetics.

Suzuki Slingshot Engine

The 125 cc engine of the Suzuki Slingshot is very convenient for city riding. The 4 stroke engine of the bike has with air-cooling technology that results in cooling the engine in no time. The OHC valve configuration of the Suzuki Slingshot helps to reduce the friction and also leads to clear emissions.

The engine of the Suzuki Slingshot has a 5 Speed Transmission that works very well. The compact engine of the Suzuki Slingshot produces 8.5 bhp at 7500 rpm with 10 Nm of peak torque 3500 rpm. The engine is designed to reduce vibrations and noise even at high revs. Suzuki has always been known for fuel efficient engines and this is no different. The bike comes with the options of kick and self start. The powerful engine of the bike can give you a mileage of around 60kmpl. This engine incorporates a BS carburetor with a Throttle Position Switch (TPS) that will help optimize the ignition timing. This is coupled with a DC – CDI along with the Suzuki Pulsed-secondary AIR-injection (PAIR) system. As a result we obtain high combustion efficiency and therefore enhanced mileage with lesser emissions.

Suzuki Slingshot is will fill the void existing between the 100 cc and the 150 cc segments keeping the key parameters to fulfill customer aspirations – style of a 150 cc and the efficiency of a 100 cc bike.
